(LOS ANGELES) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP today announced that it has once again been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Los Angeles,” a designation awarded by the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) and Best Companies Group. It is the fourth consecutive year Katten has been included in this ranking.

“This is an important distinction for Katten because we believe that by providing a great work environment, we are enabling our attorneys and our staff to provide the best client service possible,” said Josh Wayser, managing partner of Katten’s Los Angeles office. “Ensuring that we have strong benefits, flexible policies and satisfied employees makes good business sense to us, and we’ve seen the positive impact of that through the success and growth of our firm.”

The ranking is based on a two-part assessment designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. This includes surveys given to the employer as well as to employees. The collected information is combined to produce a detailed set of data that determines the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies. The workplaces are then ranked based on this data.

During the workplace assessment process, Katten employees responded to questions ranking the firm in eight core focus areas, including Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training and Development, Pay and Benefits, and Employee Engagement.

Katten’s Los Angeles office includes more than 70 attorneys who concentrate on real estate, environmental, high-stakes litigation, intellectual property, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and trusts and estates matters. The Los Angeles office is also home to Katten’s media and entertainment practice.
